Kaloyana Klimentova was born in Varna in 1978. She graduated from the Mathematics High School and later in Film and TV Directing at the International Department of Film Art at Varna Free University in the class of director Yuri Jirov.
She studied at the New York Film Academy, Filmmaking, Avid editing,
Her interest in television and editing came from her father Kliment Slavov, a director at BNT.
He started working at RTVC - Varna at the age of 19, as an assistant director in the morning program "Sea". Later he worked at MSAT TV - Varna and Sofia as a desk director and editor.

Since 2004 Kaloyana has also worked at BTV as an editor for News and Current Affairs, and BTV Reporters is her favourite professional activity.
Works with the producer Georgi Toshev for the series "THE UNKNOWN", "The Children of the Other Bulgaria", as well as the films "Apppasionata" and "Vasil Arnaudov - conductor of the world".

Her interest is in documentary cinema.

She loves animals, the sea, books, travelling. She lives in Sofia with two dogs - Koda and Balzac.
